Outdoor Kitchen Ideas
Recently I’ve noticed more of our customers investing in outdoor kitchens to improve their outdoor living experience. It makes sense and I must admit it is appealing to have everything you need by your BBQ or Pizza Oven rather than trekking in and out of the kitchen every 5 minutes.
The idea is to create an outdoor kitchen cooking area that has all the features, including a worktops & storage alongside a BBQ, or outdoor oven. You can even have an outside hob and sink installed if you want to go all out.
Alternatively, you could just build a smaller worktop area. Being in the UK we are more restricted with weather to enjoy the outdoors as much as our hotter climate neighbours, but I still think it’s a great idea.
Often the chef gets the raw deal having to stand guard at the BBQ cooking the food. However, if you have room then building an outdoor kitchen with a bar top would mean you can still be social while cooking.
DIY on a budget
Have a look for inspiration online and build your own outdoor kitchen. There are many clever ways of creating something unique for your garden. I love the simplicity of this DIY bar made with cinderblocks. Furthermore, it looks great and won’t break the bank.
Small Spaces, Big Ideas
If you have a smaller outdoor space, you just need to be more creative with your ideas. Slimmer units, shelving or why not try a Murphy Bar which folds away after use taking up less space when not in use. Ideal for courtyard gardens and smaller roof terraces.
Lastly, if you want to upcycle materials you can build something to suit your needs and space. You can even make outdoor kitchen units from old pallets which is great if you’re on a budget.
