ONE LUCKY FAN WINS AN £895 RATTAN GARDEN DAYBED
Alexander Francis ran a Facebook competition and has given away a luxury garden rattan day bed to one fan.
The team here at Alexander Francis are really excited to announce the winner of our Facebook giveaway as Suzanne Drummond! Congratulations Suzanne!
As a fan of our Facebook page Suzanne has won our luxurious Tuscany rattan day bed worth £895. She was one of 1,444 fans of our page who were either already fans or they liked us during the course of our 14 day competition.
Karen Wichard, Manager of Alexander Francis is really pleased with the Facebook competition and the feedback we’ve received; “We had a great response from our Facebook competition, it was much bigger than we expected! We’re really excited for Suzanne and can’t wait to see some photos of the day bed in her garden.”
The day bed will be delivered to Suzanne on Tuesday 4th June so Suzanne and her family will be able to lay in the sunshine this summer in comfort and style! Suzanne says she’s chuffed to win and “still can’t believe it, I can’t wait for Tuesday.” She’ll be putting her brand new daybed on her decking in the garden as ” its a lovley sun trap from 2pm onwards just when I get in from my shift at work.” Suzanne and her family live in County Durham, United Kingdom.
Managing Director of Alexander Francis, Lee Adams, says the response to our competition has been incredible. “We’ve had so much help from fans of our Facebook page who have been sharing, liking and commenting on our competition and helping to spread the word. We’ve had some great feedback about our furniture from fans. We know that Suzanne will love this daybed as much as we do.”

Carol McNelis: ” I would have it in my patio although I will need a canopy as the weathers not great here in bonnie Scotland but it would be lovely to win x.”
Dave Corby: “Abutting the west wing, overlooking the pleached lime avenue and the croquet lawn where the butler can quickly reach me with a tray of Pimms.”
Dave Robinson: ” It will have pride of place in my garden and in the winter it will have pride of place in my conservatory so I can enjoy the garden whilst using this super daybed sofa.”
Using Facebook
This is the first big giveaway that Alexander Francis has run on Facebook especially with such an expensive prize. “We weren’t sure what to expect when we set up this competition and were hoping to increase our page fans to around 1,000. We were very excited when we smashed this target on the 25th May and ended up with 1,444 likes.” Commented Kayla Maratty who runs the marketing at Alexander Francis.
“The turning point came when we posted asking if people would helps us by sharing the competition and the shares came pouring in! That single post alone ended up with 239 shares, 239 likes and 159 comments.”
With this competition being such a success, Alexander Francis hopes to be able to run more Facebook competitions. “It’s been such as success that want to continue to grow our social presence which we believe is an integral part of being an online retailer. We haven’t got a store or showroom so finding new ways to interact with people is a great way to shout about our products.”
